When I posted this picture on Facebook, I called it "Hacking A Server 101: Brute Force Attack". Although I could go on to explain how, jokes aside, the work 'hacking' originally referred to Unix programming (breaking security illegally is called 'cracking'), the nice thing about this picture is that it adds perspective to the computer work I sometimes talk about. We may be using some cutting edge software, but some of our hardware is 10 years old. I work hard to maintain older machines - in this case cutting a hole for a case fan with a hacksaw blade (get it? hacking!) - because I want to save the ministry money so more of our support can go towards ministering to youth and children at risk through church activities and community development.
